Quick Mayonnaise Biscuits

These are quick biscuits, no yeast is needed. Just 5 ingredients, mix, spoon, bake, and done. Great served with Breakfast Gravy, honey, or jam.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray the muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or butter in each individual cup. I used silicone liners, for easy removal.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and mayonnaise, and stir with a rubber spatula until just combined. Spoon into prepared muffin tins. Should make 10 decent-sized biscuits. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. I found that after 15 minutes the biscuits were thoroughly cooked but the tops weren’t brown, so I put them under the broiler for 1 minute.

*To make these with self-rising flour, you will want to leave out the baking powder use just a pinch of salt, and add a tsp of sugar.

You could easily turn these into Garlic Cheese Biscuits. Stir in 1-1/2 cup shredded cheese before baking and brush with garlic butter when you take them out of the oven.

Garlic Butter Topping:

¼ cup butter, melted
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp salt or garlic pepper seasoning
